The <em>Happy Days<\/em> star took to social media to share his excitement, calling it a &#8220;proud dad moment&#8221; and highlighting Bailey\u2019s accomplishment in joining the Friars golf team in the Big East Conference.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Proud dad moment. Division 1 in The Big East Conference,&#8221; Baio, 64, wrote on X, sharing a photo of Providence College and his 17-year-old daughter wearing her IMG uniform. In another post, he shared a picture of Bailey pointing to a sign that read, \u201cWelcome to Friartown\u201d at the airport.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"qme\">???\u26f3\ufe0f <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VMk1ACh9f5\">https:\/\/t.co\/VMk1ACh9f5<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/aRzNEFddDh\">pic.twitter.com\/aRzNEFddDh<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Scott Baio (@ScottBaio) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ScottBaio\/status\/1920326349115257292?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 8, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Bailey, who attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, also shared her gratitude on Instagram, expressing thanks to God, her parents, and her coaches for supporting her journey. \u201cThis has been years in the making,\u201d Bailey wrote in the caption. \u201cI give thanks to God and my parents first and foremost. To my very first golf coaches, my dad @realscottbaio PGA Ross F. @fugigolf77 and PGA Hans K. @bhbroncos for believing in me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bailey&#8217;s passion for golf began at a young age when her father would take her to the golf course. \u201cI got into the game of golf because my dad would take me onto the course, and I would hit the ball, and go play in a sand trap,\u201d she shared. \u201cAfter a few months, I began to hit the ball pretty well for a 4-year-old.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bailey, who is in the graduating class of 2026, said she and her parents moved from California to Florida to attend IMG and pursue her dream of becoming a professional golfer.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey\u2019s commitment drew support from several celebrities, including actress Kristy Swanson, who wrote, \u201cWhat a gal, so well deserved.\u201d Former Olympic figure skater Todd Eldredge also chimed in, saying, \u201cThat\u2019s Wicked Pissah! She\u2019ll learn that New England term soon enough. Congrats!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her love of golf, Bailey has shown a strong sense of sportsmanship. In March, she posted a video message of support to fellow junior golfer Kai Trump, expressing her respect and telling Kai she had her back after learning about bullying incidents at a tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Baio, a supporter of Donald Trump, also addressed an online comment that mentioned Bailey might one day golf with Kai, noting that although both are in the graduating class of 2026, they will compete in different conferences.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey&#8217;s commitment to Providence College marks a new chapter in her golfing career, and her parents couldn\u2019t be prouder.
