Beauty queen Olivia Culpo took to Instagram<\/a> to announce that she and her husband, NFL player Christian McCaffrey, are expecting their first child. \u201cNext chapter, motherhood,\u201d she wrote with a black and white image of her pregnant profile. This will be the first child for both of them, with the couple first dating in 2019 before tying the knot June 2024. Prior to getting married, Culpo spoke on her show, \u201cThe Culpo Sisters\u201d about her hopes of being a mom. \u201cI want to have kids, but I want to make sure that I can. It could be really hard for me to have babies,\u201d she said<\/a>. Culpo suffers from endometriosis. \u201cEndometriosis can affect your fertility in a lot of different ways. You can have endometrial tissue growing near or on your ovaries, it can affect the quality of your eggs, scar your fallopian tubes,\u201d said Culpo. However, she remained hopeful. \u201cI feel like I have to have kids ASAP.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the couple wed, Culpo joked<\/a> with her followers that she wanted to \u201crip out my IUD and start trying immediately.\u201d Culpo\u2019s sisters, Aurora and Sophia spoke about Culpo\u2019s desire for motherhood after the wedding. \u201cI know she’s going to be a really loving mother,\u201d said Aurora. \u201cI know that she’s going to be very prepared. I think she’s going to have everything in place. Probably already picking out her children’s preschool. At the moment she’s probably already on the waitlist.\u201d<\/p>\n

Culpo had previously referred to their marriage as a \u201ccovenant.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s the beginning of the rest of your life and it\u2019s the union and bond of two people forever,\u201d she said. The seriousness of the commitment impacted her choice of wedding dress, with Culpo opting for a more simple, traditional dress for their wedding. \u201cWhen I think about Christian and what he loves and the moments that he thinks that I\u2019m most beautiful, it\u2019s absolutely in something like this: timeless, covered and elegant,\u201d she said<\/a>. McCaffrey\u2019s teammate, Kyle Juszczyk, congratulated<\/a> the couple in a post, writing, \u201cUncle Juice can\u2019t [wait] to meet his godchild! Congrats guys!\u201d His wife, Kristin, also congratulated the couple. \u201cThe best mom and dad there ever will be.
