According to recent reports, Actress Jessica Alba, 40, and film producer Cash Warren, 45, have decided to end their 16-year marriage. News of their separation follows shortly after the “Honey” actress\u2014who has children Honor, 16, Haven, 13, and Hayes, 7, with Warren\u2014showed a glimpse of family time at Universal Studios Hollywood.<\/p>\n

Their recent family outing happened amid fan speculation about a divorce, which was stirred by the actress appearing without her wedding ring and an Instagram post on New Year’s Eve that included family photos without Warren.<\/p>\n

The former couple first met in Vancouver, B.C., while working on the 2004 film “Fantastic Four” and married four years later in Los Angeles. During their long relationship, Alba and Warren have been open about the efforts required to sustain it.<\/p>\n

“We can talk about anything,” Warren mentioned during a joint interview with Alba on a 2021 “Works for Us” podcast episode. “We can sit down, we can make each other laugh, we can irritate each other\u2014just that best friend friendship, that trust.”<\/p>\n

Warren, who is the son of “Hill Street Blues” actor Michael Warren, also emphasized that he and Alba help each other grow.<\/p>\n

“The moment one becomes stagnant and the other is really pushing for growth, it’s challenging,” he added. “Or if you’re growing apart, it’s really challenging, so it’s about finding a way to support each other on our own paths, in our own growth. Her helping me on my path, and it doesn’t mean our paths have to converge and we have to be doing the exact same thing. It’s just supporting each other in our own growth.”<\/p>\n

As for Alba, she agreed, saying their partnership was ride or die. “We’re in it,” the Honest Company founder said. “We both committed to being in it. The second you can choose to be in it, is when you’re like, ‘Hmm, I don’t know, I can probably choose not to do this anymore.’ The second that happens, that’s when it gets weird.”<\/p>\n

Despite their kind words for each other, the pair did hint at some issues they’ve faced in the past, which led to a previous breakup.<\/p>\n

“When we first started dating, I was really jealous of other guys and the attention she was getting from them. It just wasn\u2019t making me feel good,” Warren explained during a 2023 episode of the “Whine Down With Jana Kramer” podcast. “I was always a pretty confident person in my own life, walking my own path and really happy there, and next thing you know I\u2019m looking up and feeling jealous all the time.”<\/p>\n

He recalled, “I was like, \u2018I hate feeling like this. It doesn\u2019t make me feel good, and I know it doesn\u2019t make you feel good.\u2019 And we broke up four years into our relationship. We broke up. It was the jealousy. I was becoming a jerk, and so we broke up.”<\/p>\n

At the time, Warren said he was trying to focus on being Alba’s biggest cheerleader moving forward. “I\u2019ve tried to be a good teammate in that regard,” he said. “I\u2019m not interested in the spotlight. I\u2019m not a star, I\u2019m not a celeb, I\u2019m not an actor, I\u2019ve never tried to be an actor. I high-five her, let her do her thing, and I\u2019ve gotten more comfortable with it over the years.”<\/p>\n

However, Alba confessed that she and her now-estranged husband were more like \u201croommates\u201d years before\u00a0the news of their divorce\u00a0shocked fans. The actress\u00a0made the revealing comment about her relationship on Katherine Schwarzenegger\u2019s Instagram show, \u201cBefore, During and After Baby,\u201d in July 2021.<\/p>\n
