Actress and committed Christian Candace Cameron Bure has shared a touching tribute to her late father-in-law, Vladimir Bure, who recently passed away at the age of 73.<\/p>\n

“Our hearts are broken as we grieve the loss of Val’s dad, Vladimir Bure. I loved this man so very much. To me, he represented not only the gift of life (my husband) that I am forever grateful for but one of strength, dedication, motivation, resilience, willpower, and love. In my mind, he was the epitome of each of those words, a little bit superhuman in some way,” Candace wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post.<\/p>\n

The NHL confirmed that Vladimir, the father of Candace’s husband, Valeri, passed away on September 3rd.<\/p>\n

In her Instagram post, Candace celebrated Vladimir’s remarkable accomplishments in sports. Vladimir was a four-time Olympic medalist in swimming and a two-time Stanley Cup-winning coach for the New Jersey Devils, she noted. The post was accompanied by photos of Vladimir, including one from his swim meets and an image from the NHL honoring his memory.<\/p>\n
