Mark Wahlberg recently opened up about a heartfelt romantic gesture that earned him major brownie points with his wife, Rhea Durham.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” guest host Jeff Goldblum asked Wahlberg about a tattoo on his ring finger.<\/p>\n

“That’s my wife’s name \u2014 in case I’m not wearing my ring, or I’m working,” the “Ted” star explained.<\/p>\n

“I got this on Valentine’s Day one year. [Rhea] said, \u2018That\u2019s the nicest thing you’ve ever done!’ I said, \u2018Well, can I have back the expensive jewelry? And we\u2019ll just get you one of these too?'” he joked.<\/p>\n

Wahlberg and his wife Rhea have been married since 2009 and share four children together.<\/p>\n

The actor, who has been removing most of his tattoos over the past five years, mentioned that Rhea\u2019s name is the only tattoo he has kept. He described the tattoo removal process as terribly painful.<\/p>\n

“[It’s] terribly painful. They promise you that it’s very quick. A couple of visits,” the 53-year-old explained. “It’s like hot bacon grease getting flicked on you over and over and over again.”<\/p>\n

The couple, along with three of their children, made a rare red carpet appearance for the premiere of Wahlberg’s new film “The Union.”<\/p>\n

Wahlberg and his wife beamed on the carpet with sons Brendan and Michael and their youngest daughter, Grace. Michael’s girlfriend, Sunni, was also in attendance. The couple’s oldest child, Ella, is enrolled at Clemson University.<\/p>\n

Wahlberg also talked about his strong bond with co-star actress Halle Berry.<\/p>\n

“We both [have] really humble beginnings, worked very hard to get to where we are. We have a lot in common, and we enjoy each other\u2019s company,” Wahlberg explained.<\/p>\n
