When things aren\u2019t alright between Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves, the beloved Texan knows it\u2019s not time to panic. The couple recently appeared<\/a> on the \u201cYour Mama\u2019s Kitchen\u201d podcast, and in a preview clip obtained by People Magazine<\/em>, McConaughey told host Michelle Norris that food can often mix marital clashes with his wife.<\/p>\n

He explained, \u201cIn the middle of that disagreement, if I was to say, [be] the cook that night, and I was doing my steak sushi if I\u2019m gonna give you \u2014 slice you off another bite, and then go serve you, there\u2019s an invisible dissipation to the disagreement that happens in my service to her. That I handed her a gift. Of something that we were already really enjoying. That I continued.\u201d McConaughey emphasized that just because there was a disagreement doesn\u2019t mean the meal is over, adding the couple won\u2019t \u201cquit serving\u201d each other, both literally and metaphorically.<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI don\u2019t make my tea as good as you. But the fact that you make my tea and serve me my tea in the morning makes me go: \u2018It just tastes better.\u2019 Even if you and I are in a disagreement, the fact that you still make my tea in the morning and serve my tea is the difference between being married and dating.\u201d Alves admitted, \u201cYeah. Trust me, ladies, some mornings I do not want to serve that tea.\u201d McConaughey added, \u201cBut she still will make it for me anyway.\u201d He reasoned, \u201c[When you\u2019re] dating somebody and suddenly you get in disagreement, you\u2019re like, \u2018Uh oh, this is a sign of things to come. Better get out now.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
