Chris Stapleton recently opened up in an interview about how he and his wife Morgane Stapleton keep their romance alive after 16 years together. “The key to a successful marriage, I\u2019d say communication,” Stapleton told Fox News. “We\u2019re always working on that \u2026 love and kindness and patience. I think you have those things in play, hopefully, you can overcome whatever obstacles.” The singer made these comments while attending the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony where he shared the stage with iconic artists such as Elton John, Brittany Howard and Sheryl Crow, who was the 2023 inductee.<\/p>\n

Stapleton’s performance comes as he prepares for the release of his upcoming album, “Higher.” The “Tennessee Whiskey” singer often performs with his wife, Morgane, and recently revealed that he turns to her for creative advice while making new music. “She\u2019s my\u00a0barometer on songs,” Stapleton previously said during an interview with GQ. “Even if your wife wasn\u2019t heavily involved in your career, if you\u2019re happily married and you want to stay that way, you don\u2019t want to sing things that your wife hates.” Morgane sings background vocals on 10 of her husband’s songs on his new album and is usually performing on stage right behind him with a tambourine in hand.<\/p>\n

The pair has been together for nearly two decades after they tied the knot in October 2007. They have been candid about how they navigate their relationship, Stapleton telling GQ that they recently began going to therapy. “It was a way to kind of help us navigate what the world was, what that meant to our family, to our business.” In October 2021, Morgane shared a sweet message to her Instagram celebrating their anniversary saying, “14 years today. I don\u2019t remember much about life before you. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for hearing me. Thank you for teaching me. Thank you for respecting me. Thank you for giving me everything I cherish in this life. I love you more than I\u2019ll ever be able to put into words, but I\u2019ll spend the rest of my time here on earth trying.
