Is watching porn in marriage sinful? Ex-porn star Brittani De La Mora and her pastor husband, Richard De La Mora, warned that porn negatively affects the soul and can have negative impacts on the body.<\/p>\n

On their \u201cLet\u2019s Talk Purity\u201d podcast<\/a>, Brittani, who was in the adult film industry for seven years, said porn \u201cis literally a drug\u201d and leads to consuming higher doses to achieve the same results each time it\u2019s used. She said, \u201cJust because something\u2019s available to you doesn\u2019t mean you should utilize it. Just because cigarettes are available doesn\u2019t mean you should smoke them. Just because drugs are available doesn\u2019t mean you should use them. Just because it\u2019s being produced for you, it doesn\u2019t make it good for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

She warned, \u201cPorn is, honestly, it\u2019s a gateway. It triggers in your brain the same dopamine receptors as cocaine. So, it\u2019s been proven to be addictive. Discussing porn\u2019s slippery slope, Brittani said, \u201cJust like that first line of coke. It doesn\u2019t fill you anymore. So you have to go do more and more. And it\u2019s the same with porn. You end up getting deeper and deeper into it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Richard also spoke negatively of porn, saying it\u2019s a \u201cgateway to pedophilia\u201d and is harmful to a person whether they\u2019re married or not. He said, \u201cYou\u2019re objectifying a woman, or you\u2019re objectifying a man. When they do watch pornography, they get these mental images, and oftentimes, they will find themselves undressing a woman or undressing a man in their minds. It\u2019s like, \u2018How did your mind get this perverted? How did your mind get this way?\u2019 It\u2019s because of what you\u2019re in-taking. And now, you\u2019re in-taking these images, and these images now are creating false fantasies, especially in your marriage.\u201d<\/p>\n
