Actress and singer Jessica Simpson recently joined the growing list of celebrities who’ve moved away from Hollywood for a more peaceful life in Nashville, Tennessee. The “Public Affair” singer isn’t entirely fleeing from the West Coast, but Simpson explained that she rented a temporary summer home in the South, where her family is happier.<\/p>\n

She shared with E! News, <\/em>“Being in Nashville, even my kids are like, ‘You laugh the whole time. You’re so happy.’ It’s because I’m not on guard. I’m with a lot of like-minded people. It’s not about the celebrities. It’s really about the music and the heart, the conversation.” The 43-year-old singer added that being in Tennessee has inspired her to work on her music. She said, referencing her music comeback, “I\u2019ve been planning this for the last 12 years.\u201d<\/p>\n

She confessed, \u201cI\u2019m not nervous at all, but if you were to ask me two years ago when I was talking about coming back to music, I was frightened. But now, I know exactly what I want. I\u2019m building my own platform. I\u2019m doing it for the first time the way I would without a label telling me I need to do this song or use this producer. It\u2019s all me.\u201d Simpson is currently focusing on her music and family, but critics have recently scrutinized the pop star turned fashion designer for her weight.<\/p>\n
