Natasha Bure, the 24-year-old daughter of actress Candace Cameron Bure, came to her mother\u2019s defense with an <\/span>Instagram post<\/span><\/a>. Along with a picture of her parents and brothers, Natasha praised both of her parents, writing, \u201cThe Lord blessed me with the best parents I could\u2019ve ever asked for\u2026Raising us up in the word of God and bringing glory to HIS name. I don\u2019t know where I\u2019d be without both of them.\u201d She went on to praise her mother for \u201ccontinuously choosing Christ before all.\u201d She called the media \u201cvile\u201d for its portrayal of her mother, adding, \u201cNo matter how out of context or warped the words may get, the enemy will not prevail.\u201d She closed her defense, saying, \u201cThe Lord shines through you time and time again. The battle is HIS.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The post comes after Cameron Bure stirred controversy by announcing that the <\/span>Great American Family Channel<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(GAF), which she recently joined as chief content officer after leaving her long-standing partnership with Hallmark Channel,\u00a0<\/span>would not feature LGBT storylines<\/span><\/a>. Speaking to\u00a0<\/span>The Wall Street Journal<\/span><\/em><\/a>, the actress stated that \u201cthe people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment.\u201d The Hallmark Channel, GAF\u2019s competitor, recently began featuring LGBT storylines to the praise and criticism of\u00a0<\/span>many<\/span><\/a>. When asked if GAF would do the same, Bure responded that GAF would \u201ckeep traditional marriage at the core.\u201d After the interview was released, Cameron Bure was slammed with criticism from people like actress\u00a0<\/span>Hilarie Burton<\/span><\/a>, who called the actress a \u201cbigot.\u201d \u201cI don\u2019t remember Jesus liking hypocrites like Candy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

JoJo Siwa, who recently criticized Cameron Bure for a previous \u201crude” encounter, also shared her own thoughts, saying, \u201cI can\u2019t believe after everything that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only create a movie with intention of excluding LGBTQIA+ but then also talk about it in the press. This is rude and hurtful to a whole community of people.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

For her part, Cameron Bure has decided to respond with love toward her critics. In an Instagram <\/span>post<\/span><\/a>, she wrote, \u201cTo the members of the media responsible for using this opportunity to fan flames of conflict and hate, I have a simple message: I love you anyway. To those who hate what I value and who are attacking me online: I love you. To those who have tried to assassinate my character: I love you. To everyone reading this, of any race, creed, sexuality, or political party, including those who have tried to bully me with name-calling, I love you.\u201d Sasha further shared her love for her mom on her Instagram stories, stating that her mother\u2019s love of Jesus and boldness for her faith are the things she loves most about her. \u201cShe is bold,\u201d she added. \u201cShe is kind. She is so creative and has one of the greatest hearts. I look up to her in many, many ways.
