Candace Cameron Bure is celebrating more than 27 years of a happy marriage. The actress told Mayim Bialik on the \u201cCelebrity Jeopardy!\u201d host\u2019s \u201cBreakdown\u201d podcast that she and her husband, former hockey player Valeri Bure, make time for each other and still \u201clove each other physically, spiritually\u201d and \u201cmentally.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that laughter is a turn-on for her with her husband, and they are both happier when they\u2019ve had sex.\u00a0\u201cLaughter is one of my love languages,\u201d she said after the \u201cBig Bang Theory\u201d star asked about where she finds intimacy in her marriage. \u201cI grew up with comedians on the show [\u2018Full House\u2019]. I\u2019ve been around laughter my whole life. My dad\u2019s a very funny man. Like, I love it. So, I need to have laughter in my life, and that does come with playfulness with my husband, so when he can make me laugh \u2013 like, it\u2019s the best.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said her husband tends to be a bit more \u201creserved\u201d and \u201cserious about life\u201d than she is, possibly because of his\u00a0upbringing in Russia,\u00a0but there\u2019s nothing that attracts her more to him than when he makes her laugh.<\/p>\n

\u201cSex obviously is important,\u201d she said, adding that she hates how \u201csex within marriage gets such a bad rap.\u201d She acknowledged in some marriages, sex can become stale, but she believes \u201csex is a gift from God to be within the constraints of marriage and that it is to be celebrated and a huge part of marriage.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said sex is a \u201cblessing of being married and committed to someone,\u201d and that tired jokes about longer marriages being sexless aren\u2019t accurate in her case.\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m not trying to talk about my sex life,\u201d she stipulated, \u201cbut I do think it is important to share what a healthy sex life within marriage can be just in saying like that that\u2019s important.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Hallmark movie actress said, \u201cIt\u2019s an important part of the relationship that we make time for one another, that we still love each other both physically, you know, spiritually, mentally, all of the things. It all comes hand in hand.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI\u2019m a happier person, and my husband\u2019s a happier person when we\u2019ve had sex.\u201d Bure and her husband were married in 1996 after \u201cFull House\u201d ended its eight-season run. The couple share three children: Natasha, Lev, and Maksim.<\/p>\n

Over the years, Cameron Bure\u00a0hasn\u2019t been shy to open up about her marriage\u00a0and share their secrets to success. In April 2021, the actress told PEOPLE that\u00a0the pandemic was actually \u201cgreat\u201d for her marriage\u00a0because it allowed them to develop a renewed sense of adoration for each other. During that same interview, Cameron Bure also explained how the idea of \u201cgive and take\u201d had become a critical part of their long-term marriage.<\/p>\n

Bure said, \u201cYou really have to look at your spouse or your family or whatever beyond yourself because marriage is not about you. You\u2019re not one person in it; there are two people.
