Kanye West shared a series of posts that criticized Hollywood as a \u201cbrothel\u201d and that he has struggled with an addiction to pornography and that it \u201cdestroyed my family.\u201d The posts have since been deleted, but the singer and recent Christian convert criticized ex mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, for allowing her daughters to pose for Playboy. He was also very adamant that his daughters, Chicago and North, whom he referred to as \u201cNorthy\u201d would not be participating in such things. In March, West posted an Instagram detailing an argument he had with Kim Kardashian over their 9-year-old daughter, North, having a Tik Tok account<\/a>. \u201cI told [Kim] to stop antagonizing me with this TikTok thing. I said, \u2018It\u2019s never again.\u2019 I am her father. I know y\u2019all don\u2019t respect fathers and the idea of family and the media tries to promote something. I said, I am not allowing my daughter to be used by TikTok, by Disney. I have a say-so,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

Kanye and Kim Kardashian married in 2014 and have four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Kardashian filed for divorce in February 2021, with the divorce being finalized March 2, 2022. During that time, Kanye spoke often of his attempts to reconcile the marriage, saying<\/a> during a Thanksgiving celebration, \u201cAnd all these relationships… we\u2019ve made mistakes, I\u2019ve made mistakes I\u2019ve publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband.\u201d It had been revealed that Kanye had cheated<\/a> on Kim after the births of two of their children. Kanye addressed the infidelity in his song \u201cHurricane,\u201d as well as his struggles with alcoholism.<\/p>\n

Kanye\u2019s recent disclosure of his pornography addiction further sheds light on the struggles that plagued their marriage. Dr. Patrick Fagan, PhD<\/a>, released \u201cThe Effects of Pornography on Individuals, Marriage, Family and Community\u201d in 2009 with a summary that noted that married men who are involved with pornography \u201cfeel less satisfied with conjugal relations\u201d and that, \u201cPornography use is a pathway to infidelity and divorce, and is frequently a major factor in these family disasters.\u201d Kanye would not be alone in his addiction. Actor Terry Crews recently detailed<\/a> his struggles with pornography addiction in his book, \u201cTough: My Journey to True Power.\u201d \u201cI was nine years old when I was exposed to pornography and I would say that\u2019s abusive. The fact that I was able to get it, the fact that I was able to look at it, and it became something I used as a crutch, to numb all this pain, even before I met [my wife],\u201d he told Entertainment Tonight. He revealed how he kept his addiction hidden from his wife for twenty years, even cheating on her. The couple went on a 90-day sex fast, which helped the star reconnect with his wife in romantic, nonsexual ways.
