Andr\u00e9 and Jenny Roebert, the husband-and-wife founders of Faith Broadcasting Network (FBN), have announced they are ending their 34-year marriage, with Jenny Roebert saying she filed for divorce on “biblical grounds” after a “deeply painful” season for her family.<\/p>\n

According to court documents<\/a> filed June 30 in Collier County, Florida, where the couple owns a home and multiple businesses, Jenny Roebert states that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” and that she and her husband have been living separately since about May 20. The filing says no amount of time or counseling would restore the relationship.<\/p>\n

The Roeberts founded Faith Broadcasting Network, known on-air as MyFaithTV, in 2002. Today, the Christian television network reaches more than 264 million viewers across the United States, Africa, and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, FBN’s independent international boards released a statement<\/a> acknowledging the couple’s separation and announcing that both had been asked to take a sabbatical from on-air ministry responsibilities.<\/p>\n

“They are currently facing significant marital challenges and are separated,” the board said, asking supporters around the world to pray for God’s grace while respecting the family’s privacy.<\/p>\n

In a video statement<\/a> released days later, Jenny Roebert said she felt compelled to speak publicly after learning her husband intended to do the same. Without disclosing specific details, she alleged that she and the couple’s three adult children had been “severely wronged” over the past two years.<\/p>\n

“We have forgiven as a family and individually,” she said. “The consequences of what has transpired have brought me to the point where, based on biblical grounds, I have taken steps to file for divorce.”<\/p>\n

While acknowledging that the news would be “a great shock” to many viewers, Roebert expressed confidence that God would continue to lead her family forward.<\/p>\n

“It deeply saddens me to even have to say these words,” she said. “But it is important for you to know that the Lord has moved my children and me to a place of forging forward and continuing on with His plan for our lives.”<\/p>\n

The divorce filing also outlines a complex financial dispute. Jenny Roebert alleges the couple own significant marital assets, including multiple Florida businesses and a portfolio of hotels in South Africa. She is asking the court to award her more than half of the marital estate and to prevent her husband from transferring or disposing of business assets pending the case.<\/p>\n

The allegations contained in the court filing have not been adjudicated, and Andr\u00e9 Roebert has not publicly responded to the specific claims.
