Country music star RaeLynn has announced that she is divorcing her husband of more than a decade, asking for privacy and expressing her commitment to caring for their young daughter as the family begins a new chapter.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old singer, best known for hits like “God Made Girls,” shared the news in a heartfelt statement<\/a> on social media.<\/p>\n

“After much thought and prayer, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” RaeLynn wrote. “As a working mom, I am committed to giving my daughter the love, stability, and support she will need while we navigate this next chapter together.”<\/p>\n

She added, “I am grateful for the love and encouragement of my family, friends, and fans, and I respectfully ask for privacy as we move forward with grace and compassion.”<\/p>\n

According to court records cited by People<\/em> magazine, RaeLynn filed for divorce in Nashville on June 8, citing irreconcilable differences.<\/p>\n

RaeLynn and her husband, Army veteran Josh Davis, share a 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Rae. In recent weeks, the singer has continued posting joyful moments with her daughter on social media, including a video of the pair dancing together in matching patriotic outfits to her duet with Rhett Akins, “We’re American Made.”<\/p>\n

The couple’s relationship began more than a decade ago, when they met at church in 2012. They later reconnected at a wedding and married in 2016. Throughout their marriage, RaeLynn often spoke publicly about her admiration for Davis and his military service.<\/p>\n

“I’m just so proud of him,” she told Fox News in 2017, describing her husband as “selfless” for serving in the U.S. Army.<\/p>\n

Her love for Davis also inspired several of her songs, including “Camo,” “Diamonds,” and “Lonely Call.”<\/p>\n

Speaking about “Diamonds” shortly after their engagement, RaeLynn said, “The hook of the song is a diamond is just a diamond until you put it on the right left hand. It’s one of my favorite songs to sing because I love to honor my husband.”<\/p>\n

The announcement comes as a surprise to many fans, especially considering RaeLynn’s previous comments about the importance of lifelong marriage. As the daughter of divorced parents, she once shared that witnessing the pain of her family’s breakup shaped how seriously she viewed her own marriage.<\/p>\n

In a 2016 interview with Taste of Country<\/em>, she reflected on writing her song “Love Triangle,” which was inspired by her parents’ divorce.<\/p>\n

“Anybody that I’ve ever talked to that comes as a child of divorce like me, there’s a part of you that’s scared,” she said. “I will never ever put my kid through that, and I never want to go through that, because I saw how much it hurt my mom and how much it hurt my dad.”<\/p>\n

She added, “I look at marriage in a totally different way. I feel like our generation kind of looks at it as a disposable thing, but it’s not. It’s a commitment. When I made that commitment, I made it for life.”<\/p>\n
