Country star Blake Shelton is setting the record straight about rumors surrounding his marriage to Gwen Stefani \u2014 and revealing how artificial intelligence has made the problem even stranger.<\/p>\n

During a recent interview on the radio show Country Countdown USA<\/em>, host Lon Helton joked that it\u2019s tough to Google Shelton without running into misleading information. Shelton agreed, saying that starting late last year, he noticed a wave of headlines claiming he and Stefani had quietly split.<\/p>\n

\u201cStarting in October, I think, or maybe November \u2026 I started noticing these articles popping up about, \u2018Blake and Gwen \u2014 they\u2019re split up. They\u2019re not even seeing each other anymore, they\u2019re going through a divorce,\u2019\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

But only a week later, the same types of outlets were suddenly reporting the opposite. Shelton recalled, \u201cAnd then, a week later, a picture comes out of us walking out of the grocery store \u2026 \u2018Oh, they\u2019re back together again!\u2019\u201d Then the cycle would repeat. \u201cAnother week goes by, and we\u2019re not seen at the grocery store \u2026 \u2018They\u2019re divorcing.\u2019 I told her, \u2018Man, I don\u2019t know what is going on out there.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The God\u2019s Country<\/em> singer says online rumors are nothing new, but AI has added a confusing twist. He admitted that he has seen photos of himself with Stefani that look real \u2014 even though they never happened.<\/p>\n

\u201cI see pictures of Gwen and I on social media that I really go, \u2018That looks so real.\u2019 But I know I don\u2019t even own that shirt or, \u2018Whose car is that?\u2019\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The experience has changed how he consumes media. Shelton said he\u2019s far more skeptical about what he sees online now, adding, \u201cI don\u2019t believe anything anymore \u2026 I mean nothing. I just don\u2019t believe it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the internet drama, the couple seems as steady as ever. Shelton, 49, and Stefani, 56, first met in 2014 when Stefani joined The Voice<\/em> as a coach. At the time, both were married \u2014 Stefani to Gavin Rossdale and Shelton to Miranda Lambert. They finalized their divorces in 2015 and began dating later that year.<\/p>\n

Shelton eventually proposed, and the couple married in a small ceremony on Shelton\u2019s Oklahoma ranch in July 2021. Since then, the pair has blended their families and kept faith at the center of their relationship.<\/p>\n

Stefani, who has spoken openly about her Christian faith, once shared on The Drew Barrymore Show<\/em> that having a \u201cthird party\u201d in their marriage keeps them grounded \u2014 a reference to God. \u201cBest advice would probably be, make sure you have a third party,\u201d she said, as she looked up and pointed toward the sky.<\/p>\n
