\u00a0\u00a0 With the coming of each new year comes the notion that we have a new beginning.\u00a0 Of course, this quite true, but not only with the coming of a new year.\u00a0 God’s Word tells us in Lamentations 3:22-24, “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.\u00a0 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.\u00a0 The Lord is my portion, therefore I will hope in Him.”<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We can start new every day.\u00a0 God’s mercies and compassion are fresh each morning.\u00a0 We can forget about the mistakes and failures of yesterday.\u00a0 We can release the hurts of the past and begin again.\u00a0 We can forgive and forget those who have wronged us.\u00a0 Isn’t that wonderful?<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The enemy would have us believe that we have screwed up so badly that we are doomed to live in defeat; that we have failed one too many times and God is mad at us.\u00a0 We do mess up a lot, at least I do.\u00a0 But, I choose to believe God’s Word.\u00a0 It says that He loves me.\u00a0 It says that He forgives me.\u00a0 It says that He understands my plight.\u00a0 It says that He is waiting for me to run into His open arms.\u00a0 For that I am so thankful.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 God’s steadfast love never ceases, His mercies never come to an end.\u00a0 We can always call on Jesus for help and encouragement.\u00a0 He really does understand.\u00a0 He was born into this world, just like you and I were.\u00a0 He lived with the same trials and temptations that we do.\u00a0 He was 100% human and 100% God.\u00a0 He can do all things; and we can do all things through Him, Phillipians 4:13, ” I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me.”<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Isn’t God amazing?\u00a0 A fresh start every day.\u00a0 How can one be defeated with a fresh start every day?\u00a0 How can one be discouraged with His unfailing love surrounding us?\u00a0 How can we be grumpy when we serve the greatest God in the universe?<\/p>\n
