Have you ever had a pet bunny rabbit?\u00a0 They are so soft and cuddly.\u00a0 I love to rub my cheek over their warm fuzzy coat.\u00a0 Bunnies are special little pets who give lots of love to their owners.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There is a kind of love relationship between a human and an animal that is hard to understand, and even harder to explain.\u00a0 They depend on us to meet all their needs; food, water, shelter, grooming, and affection.\u00a0 In response, they give us unconditional love.<\/p>\n

God provides for all our needs as well; water, food, shelter, grooming and affection.\u00a0 But, instead of\u00a0 us giving Him unconditional love, He gives us that too.\u00a0 How do we respond to God’s provision?<\/p>\n

Thanksgiving time is a perfect time to look at this relationship.\u00a0 In America we don’t have to be concerned about safe water, unless maybe you are homeless or your water has been turned off in your house.\u00a0 Food is also readily available for most of us in this country.\u00a0 But, try imagining that we hadn’t eaten in 3 days.\u00a0 That would quickly make us thankful for the food we have.<\/p>\n

Most of us have homes to live in, but what if you didn’t?\u00a0 If you slept on a park bench in the dead of winter with only one blanket to shield you from the bitter cold,\u00a0 you would soon learn to be thankful for your nice warm houses.<\/p>\n

God provides us with warm and loving relationships, families, friends, church families, and other people who care about us.\u00a0 We should be thankful for that also.\u00a0 Many people don’t even have one person they can count on; no matter what.<\/p>\n

I’m so grateful that some “Bunny”,meaning God, loves me.\u00a0 Whether I am good or bad, pretty or ugly, fat or thin, black or green. God’s love is unconditional.\u00a0 He is always there for us.\u00a0 He never takes a vacation, even when we whine all the time.\u00a0 He never walks away in anger or frustration, like many people do.\u00a0 His love is unfailing.<\/p>\n

We have so much to thank God for.\u00a0 We should do it every day, not just at Thanksgiving.\u00a0 Yet, some people can think of no reason to celebrate Thanksgiving.\u00a0 How sad.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
