{"id":728,"date":"2011-11-08T01:29:51","date_gmt":"2011-11-08T06:29:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/smalltownamerica\/?p=728"},"modified":"2011-11-08T01:30:15","modified_gmt":"2011-11-08T06:30:15","slug":"there-is-no-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/smalltownamerica\/2011\/11\/there-is-no-god.html","title":{"rendered":"There Is No God"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 As I look out my window at the beautiful colors of my trees and watch the leaves float down in the afternoon breeze, I wonder how anyone could not believe in God.\u00a0 My happy little squirrel is stealing bird seed from the feeder and the last rose of summer is in full bloom.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 If there is no God, how did all this beauty come to be?\u00a0 I have seen the high mountains and I have sailed the Caribbean Sea.\u00a0 I have seen sand dunes that seem as if they were dropped from the sky.\u00a0 In New Mexico, there&#8217;s a formation named Shiprock.\u00a0 It is a huge rock formation in the shape of a ship,right in the middle of the desert.\u00a0 Now how in the world did that get there?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Who tells the birds what tune they are to sing, if there is no God?\u00a0 Who said the sky should be blue and the grass should be green, if there is no God?\u00a0 Who makes the sun come up every morning and go down every evening?\u00a0 Who decided what dirt smells like?\u00a0 Who chose for the platypus to have a bill and a duck to have webbed feet?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Who made our body such a wonder?\u00a0 Our blood is blue until it hits the air, then it turns red.\u00a0 Why do we have only 5 fingers and toes instead of 8?\u00a0 Who put DNA in our hair?\u00a0 Is there a reason that we don&#8217;t all have blue eyes?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Psalm 139:14 tells us, &#8221; I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.&#8221;\u00a0 Who made us so mysteriously?\u00a0 Who created our personality?\u00a0 Who knew that we would have dimples, before we were born?\u00a0 I conclude that it was God who did all these marvelous\u00a0acts.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 Others can say what they want, but I see no other explanation for all these wonderful things.\u00a0 There is most certainly a God and He is the maker and master of the universe and all that lies within.\u00a0 He is a good and loving God, who cares about all of His creations.\u00a0 He is an awesome, God who\u00a0does all things well.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Don&#8217;t tell me there is no God, because I know Him personally as not only the creator of all things; but also as a loving Father.\u00a0 He is all knowing and all powerful.\u00a0 He knows you and loves you more that you will ever understand.\u00a0He will always take care of us.\u00a0 He is faithful and\u00a0 true in all things.\u00a0He\u00a0that is the God I know.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 As I look out my window at the beautiful colors of my trees and watch the leaves float down in the afternoon breeze, I wonder how anyone could not believe in God.\u00a0 My happy little squirrel is stealing bird seed from the feeder and the last rose of summer is in full bloom. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":420,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[14],"tags":[19],"class_list":["post-728","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-inspiration","tag-faith"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.9 -
