I have never been much of a boat person.\u00a0 Maybe because I get motion sickness very\u00a0 easily.\u00a0 I was always fearful on the small boats on Lake Erie.\u00a0 I wasn’t sure the person handling the controls was really capable to do the job.\u00a0 Owning a boat is about the last thing on my wish list.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>However, I do love those big cruise ships.\u00a0 I still get motion sick, but they have these magic little pills that make me feel all better.\u00a0 Cruise ships are so huge that it’s like a floating city.\u00a0 I do trust that their captains knows what they are doing.\u00a0 They are great about telling the passengers if the waters are getting rough or if the weather is about to get bad.\u00a0 They will re-route the ship to avoid severe storms or hurricanes.<\/p>\n

Everyone goes through safety drills before we leave port and we know what to do in an emergency.\u00a0 That gives me peace.\u00a0 I know what is going on and I know the captain is in control.\u00a0 Whether we are talking about a sail boat, speed boat, row boat or cruise ship, the secret to peace is trusting the captian.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

My brother was in the US Navy many years ago.\u00a0 He brought me a picture bookmark once with a sailor in the foreground with his hands on the wheel; behind him stood Jesus with His hands over the sailors.\u00a0 That’s the way to sail in any kind of boat or ship.\u00a0 If Jesus is our captain we can be assured of a safe\u00a0 voyage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
