{"id":1563,"date":"2012-08-02T10:47:16","date_gmt":"2012-08-02T14:47:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/smalltownamerica\/?p=1563"},"modified":"2012-08-02T10:47:16","modified_gmt":"2012-08-02T14:47:16","slug":"forever-yours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/smalltownamerica\/2012\/08\/forever-yours.html","title":{"rendered":"Forever Yours"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Forever yours is a common way people sign their cards and letters to friends and family.\u00a0 We would like to think that we will always have these people in our lives and that our relationships will always be good ones.\u00a0 Unfortunately, \u00a0this often is not the case.\u00a0 As we travel through this life we meet many people who become a part of our daily lives.\u00a0 That doesn&#8217;t mean they will always be there.\u00a0 Sometimes people just move on to a better job or a new city.\u00a0 Sometimes there is a misunderstanding between friends that never gets resolved.\u00a0 Family also move away and begin new lives<\/p>\n<p>When people walk away from you, regardless for the reason; let them go.\u00a0 Your destiny is never tied to just one person or family.\u00a0 It doesn&#8217;t mean that they are bad people.\u00a0 It just means that their part in your story is diminished or over.\u00a0God will never leave us completely alone.\u00a0 When one person moves out of our lives He will move someone new into our lives.<\/p>\n<p>Family members also move away, especially our children.\u00a0 They find their own purposes and it often takes them hundreds of miles away from you.\u00a0 But that is the way God intended it from the beginning.\u00a0We are supposed to raise our children to think for themselves,they are to find their own place in this world, their own spouses, their own lives.\u00a0It&#8217;s difficult for those left behind, those who miss their children and grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Our children are the hardest things to lose.\u00a0 Because we go from seeing them every day, to talking on the phone once a month and seeing them twice a year.\u00a0 Because we have invested so many years into them, it&#8217;s hard to see them walk away.\u00a0 However, we must understand that is does not mean that they love us any less, it just means life goes on.\u00a0 They will aways be our children.<\/p>\n<p>One thing we must always remember is that God will never leave us.\u00a0 Hebrews 13:5 tells us, &#8221; Let your conversation be without covetousness and be content with such things as you have: for He has said,&#8217;I will never leave you or forsake you&#8217;.&#8221; When our worlds are turns upside down and our close relationships seem to change, we can maintain our peace by knowing that God is always there for us.<\/p>\n<p>I believe this scripture applies also to our relationships.\u00a0 It does us no good to covet another&#8217;s life and wish all our children were still nearby.\u00a0 There is no benefit in dwelling on things we cannot change.\u00a0 Our God knows best.\u00a0 He knows exactly what we need and when we need it.\u00a0 Whether it be family or friends, God knows what we all need to fulfill our destiny in Him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Forever yours is a common way people sign their cards and letters to friends and family.\u00a0 We would like to think that we will always have these people in our lives and that our relationships will always be good ones.\u00a0 Unfortunately, \u00a0this often is not the case.\u00a0 As we travel through this life we meet&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":420,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[3,14],"tags":[25,17,82,20],"class_list":["post-1563","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-encouragement","category-inspiration","tag-children","tag-courage","tag-family-and-friends-lost","tag-strength"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.9 -
