I just finished teaching VBS at out church last week.\u00a0 The theme was the Amazement Park.\u00a0 Throughout the week I was reminded of how much our lives can be like a roller coaster ride.\u00a0 We have really high points and really low points;\u00a0sometimes the G-Force threatens to press us to despair; sometimes our excitement rises to levels where we want to raise our hands and praise God; and sometimes a situation leaves us feeling dizzy and a little sick at our stomachs.\u00a0 But, the ride is just part of life so we must endure until the cars stop and we can get off.<\/p>\n
I don’t particularly enjoy the roller coasters any more.\u00a0 I guess I’m getting too old for such things.\u00a0 However, we all ride this spiritual and emotional roller coaster from time to time.\u00a0 Thank God that we don’t have to live on the coaster; that would be very disheartening to say the least.<\/p>\n
We simply need to learn how to make the most of the coaster experience.\u00a0 When we are on a high, praise God for it and stay there as long as you can.\u00a0 We we see ourselves headed down to a valley, go prepared.\u00a0 Take with you the assurance of God’s love, the peace that passes understanding and hope eternal.<\/p>\n
II Corinthians 12:9 says, “And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”\u00a0 That is such a comfort to us; to know that God’s strength is there for us in all situations.\u00a0 We may not understand the purpose of a certain trial or situation, but we can always know that God is with us through it all.\u00a0 He only wants what is good for us.<\/p>\n
He is our protector, out rear guard, our high tower and our hope.\u00a0 We can depend on Him in all situations.\u00a0 His love is perfect and eternal.\u00a0 His knowledge and understanding are\u00a0complete.\u00a0 We can trust Him in all things.\u00a0 So let the ride begin, we are determined to overcome all situations and circumstances.<\/p>\n
