Smugde and Noodles have been my four legged, furry children for over 10 years now.\u00a0 Noodles was here when my kids were still at home.\u00a0 She will soon be 16 in people years, that’s 119 in kitty years.\u00a0 She doesn’t do much these days except for eat, sleep, snuggle and purr.\u00a0 I think her old body is running out of steam.\u00a0 That will be a sad day for me, when I find her curled up and not breathing.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

But for now, they both still enjoy curling up together….almost any place.\u00a0 They were too funny here when they\u00a0tried to sleep in the same bag.\u00a0 Somehow they managed, but they got pretty twisted up.\u00a0 The closer the better seems to be their rule.\u00a0 They slept here all afternoon.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Smudge has started doing a balancing act on the arm of one of our old chairs.\u00a0 The arm can’t be more the than 2 inches wide, but he gets all 4 feet up there and weaves back and forth.\u00a0 Many times he goes to sleep and falls on the floor.\u00a0 He just gets up and tries again.\u00a0 I don’t know what he’s thinking, there are plenty of nice, soft places for him to sleep.<\/p>\n

One morning I got up to find this duo on my desk.\u00a0 They just pushed all my stuff and papers out of the way and made themselves comfortable.\u00a0 I found pictures on he floor, bills in the trash, blogs crumpled up and pens swatted everywhere.\u00a0 Apparently they had some fun before calling it a night.\u00a0 What a mess….but ya gotta love them. After all we didn’t punish our real kids for such things, and these are just dumb cats.<\/p>\n

Today with so much stress and uncertainly around us, sometimes it just feels good to sit with my snuggle bunnies and listen to them purr contentedly.\u00a0 They are happy and feel safe and all is well with the world……at least in my recliner world.<\/p>\n
