Why should governemnt pentalize them for wanting something better for their children?

I have worked both in the public school system and in Christian schools. I know many people who home school their children. It has many benefits, as well as a few drawbacks. I think the benefits far out weigh the drawbacks.

Children don’t have to deal with teachings that violate the Bible. They don’t have to see the disrespect and rudeness toward the teachers. They don’t have to contend with the foul langaage. They don’t have to be bullied for their faith and the list goes on.

What good reason can there be for not allowing them to participate in public school sports? Let it be a parental choice, not a government mandate.

There is a bill currently before the Virginia General Assembly that would allow home-schooled students to try out for and play on public school sports teams. It has been nicknamed the “Tebow Bill” because apparently that’s how Tim Tebow was permitted to rise to football fame, playing for the Denver Broncos.
