walking through a beautiful field of wildflowers. \u00a0The sun shining down on me while the wind blows gently through my hair. \u00a0I feel as light as a feather&#8230; as if I don&#8217;t have a care in the world. \u00a0I move gracefully and calmly. \u00a0The flowers sway back and forth in the breeze and birds chirp quietly in the background. \u00a0The world is peaceful, serene and joyful.<\/p>\n<p>THAT is what I want to be when I grow up.<\/p>\n<p>Actually&#8230; more accurately, that is what I aim to be right now. \u00a0If someone were to ask me what kind of person I aim to be or what I want out of life&#8230; the field of wildflowers is it.<\/p>\n<p>Sure, there are other things that I strive to be in life &#8211; a good friend, an obedient follower of God, a talented writer, a loving mom to my fur babies. \u00a0But if I am thinking about who I want to be\u00a0OVERALL, I want to be <i>calm.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>In a world that feels so chaotic, so rushed, so stressful and so\u00a0<em>distracted<\/em> 99% of the time, I want to be the opposite. \u00a0I want to be slow, calm and peaceful. \u00a0I want to be steady against a blurred background. \u00a0I want to be joyful in the face of trials and unaffected by the stress the world throws at me.<\/p>\n<p>I want to be present in the moment, enjoying experiences with my family and friends as they happen. \u00a0And fearless in the very best kind of way.<\/p>\n<p>The world may want to go 100 mph in a blur of lights and noise, but we can always choose to take a different path through it.<\/p>\n<p>We can\u00a0choose peace.<\/p>\n<p>We can choose calm.<\/p>\n<p>Even if we&#8217;re not running through a field of wildflowers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The image is clear yet romantically fuzzy in my mind. \u00a0Me in a long, flowing dress&#8230;
