{"id":286,"date":"2011-05-07T05:48:58","date_gmt":"2011-05-07T09:48:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/simplelife\/?p=286"},"modified":"2011-05-04T12:54:45","modified_gmt":"2011-05-04T16:54:45","slug":"hope-in-the-middle-of-despair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/simplelife\/2011\/05\/hope-in-the-middle-of-despair.html","title":{"rendered":"Hope in the middle of despair"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/234\/2011\/05\/prayer-by-jobarracuda.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-287\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/234\/2011\/05\/prayer-by-jobarracuda.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>I received from a friend who is actively involved within the mentally challenged community. \u00a0She has worked as a professional. \u00a0Her family is deeply involved in the professional community. \u00a0She is a volunteer with Special Gathering. \u00a0Currently, she is part of the management team for a US Congressman. \u00a0While this Word was specifically given to members of the mentally challenged community, these principles apply to every crisis in our lives.<\/em><\/p>\n<div>Please feel free to pass the below along to people who will pray for people who are going through any crisis.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>CRISIS PRAYER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you believe God is sovereign, then every circumstance of your life including crisis is\u00a0<strong>UNDER HIS CONTROL<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You know that God can eliminate a crisis or problem instantaneously.\u00a0 If he hasn\u2019t done that, then you need to be looking for more than just deliverance from it.<\/p>\n<p>It takes real spiritual maturity to seek God for something other than deliverance in a crisis.<\/p>\n<p>Do not ask for deliverance from the situation, but rather for\u00a0<strong>BOLDNESS<\/strong> (not rescue) in face of this threat.<\/p>\n<p>Set aside your desire for personal protection and fling yourself out before God as a vessel to be used in this crisis.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When faced with the lions&#8217; den, if Daniel prayed simply for the crisis to disappear, the chance for God to be exalted before the King would disappear.<\/li>\n<li>Daniel didn\u2019t pray for the crisis to go way.\u00a0 He prayed for God to do something miraculous through it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SO WHAT DOES IT MEAN<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Discern all that is at stake besides my comfort<\/li>\n<li>You will find God exalting himself in every aspect of your life.\n<ul>\n<li>Jesus did this when he faced the cross.\u00a0 He asked God for deliverance coupled with a prayer for submission.\u00a0 His willingness to walk the path of God\u2019s will and bring glory to His name came with a price.\u00a0 JESUS DIED FOR US.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ASK FOR PRAYER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>WE NEED THE BODY OF CHRIST TO PRAY FOR US;
