I remember it always symbolized possibility to me. The feeling of a new burst of energy. I’d think of all the things I wanted to do when the sun was shining and it was warm enough to ride my bike or take a walk for the first time in Spring. How much fun can I have? Who will I meet? Summer’s almost here. Look at all the flowers. The world has come alive again. My birthday is also in Spring, on May 15th, so I would feel myself growing up and I loved it. Nowadays, I feel Spring makes me feel younger, as if my soul becomes lighter and freer. I love to embody the wisdom and appreciation of age, but with the wonder and youthfulness of a child.

Each Spring, I take pictures of flowers and pull my car over just to stare. I swear the flowers call out to me because it never seems as if they catch other people’s attention like they do mine. First, it’s the daffodils, hyacinths, tulips, cheery blossoms, dogwoods, etc. Then Wisteria starts to flood certain trees with its purple magic. I shout out, “Look!’ as I’m driving and scare my kids half to death. They’re like, “Yeah, Mom, we see. . .they look the same as last year.” But you see, they’re never the same bloom of any flower, tree, or plant. And we are never the same person each Spring. We are more brilliant and beautiful in some way than the year before because life is about growth. I strive to grow into more love daily and think of every day as my rebirth.

Let your heart dwell on the possibilities for your life and for you right now.

Whatever you’ve been working on for a while, where you have an issue, a block, or something you’ve been trying to improve, take a step today. No more excuses, feelings of lack, or not being good enough. . .it’s your rebirth. You get to choose how you define yourself from here on out. Do one thing in the direction of your goal today. Ultimately we want to feel good and everything we want is really leading to that goal. Not the fleeting, conditional, empty feeling good we get that is impulse driven like in addictions, but the real-soul-feel-good. You want that all is right in the world feeling. Ask yourself what is one thing you could do to get these good vibes flowing. Achieving your goals are a lot easier when your vibe is higher anyway. But the first step is, and this is a biggie because it’s declaring it to the Universe, write down what you want. Seems like it’s not an action step, but it’s bold to dream, to strive, to want to make changes. God shows us an infinite, ever-evolving Universe that promotes growth, and is never stagnant. People aren’t meant to be either. Just like in the wintertime, when things don’t seem to be growing, underneath the surface, magical things are happening. One day, you see a little sprout. You see a tiny flash of green. Before you know it, you see a full bloom. This is the what it feels like when we plant seeds for our own growth. We must trust that underneath the surface, even though we can’t see it, a rebirth is occurring. Trust your rebirth today. Plant a seed. I dare ya.

Whether you celebrate Easter, Passover, Beltane, or just celebrate Spring, you can feel a rebirth.
