I launched my book “Sexpot With Stretch Marks”\u00a0 a week ago today.\u00a0 It went #1 over the weekend.\u00a0 I’ve done some press and will continue to as well. Today was like a day off in that I had no clients or interviews.\u00a0 When you live your passion though, you are never off, because you like being on.<\/p>\n
My husband and I did a health screening at his work which lowers our health insurance cost.\u00a0 We both scored flying colors and we compare our numbers, which I won all categories this time.\u00a0\u00a0 The woman conducting the testing\u00a0was in awe of my scores.\u00a0 I guess it was not the norm.\u00a0 She said, “Keep doing whatever you’re doing.”\u00a0 So wine and chocolate it is.\u00a0 Seriously.\u00a0 But all those numbers don’t matter if you don’t feel good.\u00a0 Feeling good is mind-body-spirit.\u00a0 I love life.<\/p>\n
It was a valley in between that epic high with my book until the next one.\u00a0 I don’t chase the highs.\u00a0 I embrace them and peace as well.\u00a0\u00a0 It could be boring.\u00a0 I don’t get bored easily.\u00a0 Occasionally I’ll wish I was doing something fun of a Saturday night.\u00a0 But then I realize it’s cold out and I’d rather in my pj’s.\u00a0 Every day, I consider an adventure.\u00a0 As I was driving to pick up my son\u00a0from preschool, Prince came on the radio.\u00a0 I blasted it of course.\u00a0 I saw a Mack truck with a cursive\u00a0“P” on the front.\u00a0 As in my last name, but also for passion and purpose.\u00a0 Those are what I’m all about.\u00a0 I have a passion for life.\u00a0 I also saw a “Baby On Board” sticker on someone’s car like from back in the day.\u00a0\u00a0This\u00a0one read “Baby Jedi On\u00a0Board” which was so cool because we are big Star Wars fans here.<\/p>\n
On the way home, “Bootylicious” by Destiny’s Child came on.\u00a0 \u00a0I went into this hand waving, neck moving like chicken thing and I could feel my for year old son’s eyes on me, which said…What is she doing?\u00a0 Is that dancing.\u00a0 Oh, I’m embarrassed for her<\/em>.\u00a0 <\/em>I love car dancing.\u00a0 Embarrassing them is my JOB.\u00a0 I also forgot that I saw a heart shaped sludge mark in the parking garage of my husband’s work.\u00a0 I had to post a picture to Instagram.\u00a0 I also took pictures of\u00a0 a chandelier which I would love to own, or wear.\u00a0 I’m not kidding there.\u00a0 They had light up trees in Brookstone which brought me joy, one in pink, one in blue, and one in red.\u00a0 One day.\u00a0 I got Starbucks Oprah Chai Latte with Organic Soymilk.\u00a0 The sun was out.\u00a0 It was an extraordinary day.\u00a0 And we are having pizza for dinner.\u00a0\u00a0 I also have on my black fringe boots which make me feel like a rockstar.<\/p>\n My one year old is in my lap as I type this, she sucks her thumb and holds my hair in her hand.\u00a0 Her smile is the world.\u00a0 My kids are my joys.\u00a0 It’s these little things.\u00a0 It’s those combined with my life’s purpose to empower women that make my life feel so whole.\u00a0 In the Valleys, are peace and they are never boring if you keep your eyes open.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I launched my book “Sexpot With Stretch Marks”\u00a0 a week ago today.\u00a0 It went #1 over the weekend.\u00a0 I’ve done some press and will continue to as well.
