I have been staying away from cheese, but added it because the recipe called for it. My youngest son, Seamus, and I were calling in Quin-cheesy-roni because we added veggie pepperoni.<\/p>\n<p>It was okay. \u00a0I&#8217;d need to tweak it.<\/p>\n<p>I topped it with hot peppers and it was very Jennylicious then.\u00a0 I love cooking and finding new recipes. I love learning.\u00a0 I love newness.\u00a0 I love expansion.\u00a0 I love\u00a0ideas, creativity,\u00a0and possibilities.\u00a0 I will be growing in some way every\u00a0day of my life.\u00a0 It&#8217;s how I want to live and\u00a0how I see living to my fullest potential.<\/p>\n<p>Now did this specific recipe work for me?\u00a0 Not really.\u00a0 I look at it as a metaphor for\u00a0life.\u00a0 Have you ever followed a recipe to a tee and it didn&#8217;t turn out right?\u00a0 Like the Pinterest fails that make you feel so not crafty or Martha-ish, as in Martha Stewart, the Queen of home living type world.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll go for the Goddess of being me instead, cause that I can do.\u00a0 In truth, you never know what brand people use in their recipes and even if you do, altitude, temperature, and other factors come into play.\u00a0 Just like in life.\u00a0 You can follow someone else&#8217;s path to a tee and NEVER have the same journey.\u00a0 You can read all the same books, go to the same training, school, workshops, or certifications and it would be impossible to have the same outcome. Your cake ain&#8217;t ever gonna look or taste like anyone else&#8217;s.\u00a0 And thank God.\u00a0 That would be so boring.<\/p>\n<p>In my twenties, I was always comparing my cake-making skills literally and figuratively.\u00a0 Even at this wise old age, I still get tripped up sometimes, especially in new surrounding, classes, or especially as I uplevel from a big fish in a tiny pond to a small fish in a big pond.\u00a0 It&#8217;s like I&#8217;ll advise peeps in my upcoming book\u00a0and what I spoke about relating to reinvention\u00a0last year at a business event.\u00a0 Take in your new surroundings and observe what you see others doing, how they are succeeding, what they&#8217;re good at, and what you want to strive towards.\u00a0 You can look at that corner office and how great their view is and how amazing they are at their job&#8230;but then remember you are running your\u00a0own race.\u00a0\u00a0Stay in your\u00a0own lane or you will trip up.<\/p>\n<p>You have no idea how much hard work went into their cake.\u00a0 They may have tried to perfect that recipe\u00a0for ten years, toiling away at it every single day.\u00a0\u00a0They may have &#8220;lucked&#8221; out with\u00a0being handing the perfect recipe from their family.\u00a0 They\u00a0may have magic golden pans, a hook up for the good flour, a technique only told\u00a0to certain\u00a0people once their cake skills are at a certain level.\u00a0 So should you give up making cakes cause\u00a0what&#8217;s the\u00a0use?\u00a0 Their cake will always be better\u00a0 That is a copout, an excuse, it&#8217;s giving up and you\u00a0will create the life you don&#8217;t want that way.<\/p>\n<p>If instead you don&#8217;t worry about other people&#8217;s cake or quinoa crusty thing and create a brand new recipe.\u00a0 Maybe your cake will have quinoa in it and\u00a0it will be delicious and healthy.\u00a0 Maybe you will\u00a0make a new cake every day.\u00a0\u00a0You get to create the perfect recipe for your life.\u00a0 What do you want to create?\u00a0 How much fun can you have with your own recipe?\u00a0 How delicious will your life get?<\/p>\n<p>Start cookin&#8217; now!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I just cooked up a quinoa breadstick recipe.
