And we know they passed forever<\/p>\n
From our mortal grief and pain –<\/p>\n
And we thank Thee, Heavenly Father,<\/p>\n
For the blessings that remain.<\/p>\n
Thanksgiving, Oh, Thanksgiving!<\/p>\n
That their love once blessed us here,<\/p>\n
That so long they walked beside us<\/p>\n
Sharing every smile and tear;<\/p>\n
For the joy that past has brought us,<\/p>\n
But can never take away –<\/p>\n
The sweet and gracious memories<\/p>\n
Growing dearer everyday;<\/p>\n
For the Faith that kept us patient –<\/p>\n
Looking at the things, unseen,<\/p>\n
Knowing Spring will follow Winter,<\/p>\n
And the earth again be green;<\/p>\n
For the hope of that glad meeting<\/p>\n
Far from mortal grief and pain;<\/p>\n
We Thank Thee, oh our Father<\/p>\n
For the blessings that remain.<\/p>\n
