A dear friend from Houston wrote to me recently and she included a quote form Warren Wiersbe that is too good to not pass along to you all! It is from his book, His Name is Wonderful. <\/em>I\u00a0<\/em>thought it was profound.<\/p>\n

Isaiah the prophet is making a prophecy about the coming Messiah.\u00a0He says, “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counsellor. Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6 NAS)<\/p>\n

His name shall be called…<\/p>\n

Wonderful<\/strong> – that takes care of the Dullness<\/em> of life.<\/p>\n

Counsellor<\/strong> – that takes care of the Decisions<\/em> of life.<\/p>\n

The Mighty God<\/strong> – that takes care of the Demands<\/em> of life.<\/p>\n

The Everlasting Father<\/strong>…that takes care of the Dimensions<\/em> of life.<\/p>\n

The Prince of Peace<\/strong>…that takes care of the Disturbances<\/em> of life.<\/p>\n

Are you feeling dull? Do you have big (or little) decisions facing you? Is your life seemingly a series of demands – urgent ones? Do you feel as if there is no purpose to life? Do you feel as if chaos is taking over?<\/p>\n

Read the ancient prophet again.\u00a0Trust his words. Know the truth of them.<\/p>\n

This same prophet said, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee.” (KJV) Keep focused!<\/p>\n
