Super Bowl night is the worst for sex trafficking.

I was distracted throughout most of the game…we had dinner with my youngest daughter and their TV is in the basement. When I got home I watched the rest of it but was on the phone with a friend during the half-time show.

But it was rehashed this morning on the news so I got to see the highlights.

The news casters were all in praise of the half-time show. They thought it was the best! I thought it was a disgrace. Yes, JLo is talented – very. And I know it was notable that the Hispanic population was so recognized. But do we have to showcase pole dancing as a half-time show? Pole dancing, in polite society is vulgar. It is only to stir sexual desires.

Totally inappropriate. Families gather to watch the game. There are parties galore as people sit around waiting the game. But the half-time show was not family friendly.

Shame on us for marketing sex and children on the highest rated night of the year. Why can’t we have something different? We need to protest to the NFL. Which I will do.

Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs on winning the Super Bowl. No stranger to heartache, she seeks to provide a Biblical perspective to her journey of faith. She is warm and talks openly about her own need for a safe place as she journeyed through her husband’s infidelities, her subsequent depression, her divorces, her teenage daughter’s two unplanned pregnancies, another daughter’s bulimia, her son’s battle with drugs, grandson's special needs and returning to school at age 40. Although born into the "famous" Graham family Ruth did not feel she had a safe place to unburden the secrets of her life. She felt she had to project and image and wear a mask that she "had it all together". She had to meet others' expectations of her. It was not until a mid-life crisis did that she fully discover the unconditional love and grace of God. Her life's passion is to connect people to that same grace and love she found, no matter who they are or what sin. Ruth is an experienced conference speaker and Bible teacher. She has appeared on a variety of radio and television shows including: Good Morning, America, The Hour of Power, Focus on the Family, Moody Broadcasting, Fox & Friends, CBN, Life Today and CNN. She has worked in publishing for over 14 years and is the founder of the Ruth Graham & Friends Ministry. Ruth has three grown children and nine grandchildren. She lives in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Her life Bible verse is John 1:16.
http://ruthgrahamministries.com
["GET
