We knew that we would be paying more and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/weblogs\/back-story\/2009\/oct\/07\/a-new-mommy-tax\/\">here it is<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>When Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus proposed taxing medical devices to raise $40 billion over the next 10 years for his health care plan, opponents started digging in and looking at what would be taxed. It turned out feminine products, like tampons, were classified as class I medical devices and thus, the &#8220;tampon tax&#8221; was born.<br \/>\nThe backlash was quick and severe enough against the idea that the committee quickly drafted new language that would exempt those necessities from the tax, along with all other class I devices, like tongue depressors, and decided to only tax class II medical devices and higher that cost less than $100.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/hotair.cachefly.net\/images\/2009-10\/foiclass.pdf\">Here&#8217;s a list<\/a> of all of the various class 2 and above devices like pacemakers, ventilators, breast pumps, mammograms, etc. that will be taxed under ObamaCare.<br \/>\nBTW, it turns out the taxpayers didn&#8217;t pay for the lab coats for the doctors who forgot the lab coats. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/online\/new-york-posts-white-coat-gate-story-is-not-true\/\">Doctors for America provided the coats<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, we all knew that ObamaCare wasn&#8217;t going to be cheap.
