Here’s some shots my daughter took at the protest (with her Sony Cyber-shot<\/a>\"\"). I think this is my favorite:

\nThe Gadsden Flag, and variants, were pretty popular:

\nHere’s a nice shot of the Capital building and the crowds. It looks like they didn’t get a good spot, as far as the speakers are concerned, but it was a great spot for pictures:

\nPretty cute baby signage:

\nThis one is pretty funny and true! Some animals are more equal than others:

\nLying Obama signs were also pretty popular:

\nAs were Marxism signs:

\nOh if only politicians would listen to the taxpayers when we say, “Enough!”

\nBut all they want is our money:

\nWe could not figure out what this flag represents. According to Wikipedia it’s either Alabama, St Patrick’s cross or Help I’m in distress (I’m betting it’s that one :-): \"st<\/span>

\nMy husband’s impressions of the protest: polite and friendly crowds, filled with people determined to see a change in government’s involvement in their life. It was a grassroots, Reaganesque type revolution. Conservatives never protest and here there were taking to the streets to protest for a return to fiscal conservatism, smaller government and freedom from the long reach of the government. He agreed with Steve Baldwin (one of the speakers at the protest): Obama and Congress have woken up conservatives and this is the start of a whole new movement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
