Here’s a list of 15 companies that might go under this year<\/a>. Not surprising that they are ready to go under since they took on way too much debt during the good times and didn’t prepare for a downturn in the economy. Maybe they need to send some lobbyists to Washington to see if they can get in on some of the bailout money.
\nI’m a little conflicted that Claire’s is on the list. We have a Claire’s gift card that we need to redeem before they declare chapter 11 but I won’t miss hanging out in front of the store with the other parents while we wait for hours for our kids to decide what they want. I’m surprised they’re not making a killing since the store is always packed with teenagers and pre-teenagers and I know they are buying stuff because we almost always have to wait in line to make a purchase.
\nAnd it would be a bummer to lose Six Flags before Samantha graduates from middle school. A trip to Great Adventure is the prize for making it through middle school and Samantha is going to feel ripped off if they can’t go.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
