ALEX WITT: You know, John, and it’s interesting because there are many who had such an optimistic and hopeful opinion of things, and you certainly can’t expect things to change [snaps fingers] on a dime overnight, but there are many who suggested that with the outgoing Bush administration and the incoming Obama administration there would be something of a lull in terrorism attacks. There had been such a global outpouring of affection, respect, hope, with the new administration coming in, that precisely these kinds of attacks, it was thought — at least hoped — would be dampered down. But in this case it looks like Barack Obama is getting a preview of things to come. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Does Witt know anything about terrorism? Doesn’t she realize that we were hit by al-Qaeda during the Clinton<\/em> administration? Doesn’t she know about the first attack on the Towers? That had absolutely nothing to do with Bush. Al-Qaeda doesn’t care how popular our president is, they only care about how they’re going to take us down. They are at war with the American people, not just Bush.
\nMaybe Witt might want to switch to the entertainment news or the food network. Evidently world news is a little too hard for her to handle.
