The gift that keeps on giving! This from a guy who has an “F” rating from the NRA<\/a>. Yeah, he’s believable. <\/p>\n

“I guarantee you Barack Obama ain’t taking my shotguns, so don’t buy that malarkey,” Biden said Saturday at the United Mine Workers of America’s annual fish fry in Castlewood, Virginia. “Don’t buy that malarkey. They’re going to start peddling that to you.”
\nBiden told the crowd that he himself is a gun owner. “I got two,” Biden said, “if he tries to fool with my Beretta, he’s got a problem. I like that little over and under, you know? I’m not bad with it. So give me a break. Give me a break.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Does this guy think that the gun owners are reassured by his insistence that Obama isn’t going to take away shotguns? Shotguns aren’t the issue, it’s handguns that are the issue. Handguns were the issue in the Heller case and they are the target of gun control proponents. Every time the Obama campaign talks about gun ownership, it’s hunters and shotguns not handguns and protection.
\nThe more they try to reassure us that they don’t intend to take away guns from gun owners, the more suspicious I’m becoming (and I’m not alone). Obama has said that he couldn’t take our guns even if he wanted to because he doesn’t have the votes<\/a>. But if that changes, well that’s another story, isn’t it? He’s telegraphing what he’s going to do and if we care about our rights, we better seriously think about who we’re sending to Congress and the White House.
