Have you seen it? I can’t believe that they depicted Michelle Obama as a terrorist<\/a>! Pretty over the top. What the heck were they thinking? Where on the cover do they note that it’s a caricature of the right’s view of Obama? It just looks like they’re the ones caricaturing Obama.<\/p>\n

The Obama campaign quickly condemned the rendering. Spokesman Bill Burton said in a statement: “The New Yorker may think, as one of their staff explained to us, that their cover is a satirical lampoon of the caricature Senator Obama’s right-wing critics have tried to create. But most readers will see it as tasteless and offensive. And we agree.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
