Apparently, things get overheated during a campaign and politicians say things they just don’t mean<\/a>. I guess that’s the post-partisan way of explaining away a flip-flop.
\nIt will be interesting to see how the Obamanites explain this away and figure out a way to attack me on it at the same time. Or maybe they’ll just state that McCain flip-flopped on drilling, so there! Or maybe they’ll face the political reality that Obama is doing what every politician has done before him: move to the center. Not much of a change, huh? Certainly not one we can believe in.
\nBut the $100,000 question is: what is his real position? The one he stated in the primary or this one?
