Clinton  no more, and thus like Lancelot at Camlan belatedly enter the fray.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>But then you have someone like Coulter who says she&#8217;ll campaign for Hillary if McCain it the nominee (<a href=\"http:\/\/hotair.com\/archives\/2008\/01\/30\/michelle-tells-glenn-beck-i-wont-vote-for-mccain-over-hillary\/\">go watch the video clip<\/a> and see how happy Colmes is with Coulter). And you have <a href=\"http:\/\/hotair.com\/archives\/2008\/01\/31\/michelle-to-mccain-its-not-too-late\/\">Michelle Malkin<\/a> hinting at not voting for him.<br \/>\nBut <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/02\/01\/us\/01conservatives.html?_r=2&amp;ex=1359522000&amp;en=798df45116ea80d0&amp;ei=5088&amp;partner=rssnyt&amp;emc=rss&amp;oref=slogin&amp;oref=slogin\">some Christian conservatives<\/a> seem to be embracing him:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Tony Perkins, a prominent Christian conservative who has often denounced Mr. McCain, is warming up to him, too.<br \/>\n\u201cI have no residual issue with John McCain,\u201d Mr. Perkins said, adding that the senator needed \u201cto better communicate\u201d his convictions on social issues.<br \/>\nRichard Land, an official of the Southern Baptist Convention and a longtime critic of Mr. McCain, agreed, saying, \u201cHe is strongly pro-life.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cWhen I hear Rush Limbaugh say that a McCain nomination would destroy the Republican Party,\u201d Dr. Land added, \u201cwhat I want to say to Rush is, \u2018You need to get out of the studio more and talk to real people.\u2019 \u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>BTW, I&#8217;m surprised that someone who supports federal  funding of embryonic stem cell research and abortions for victims of rape and incest (I guess its OK to kill a baby in that case) would be considered &#8220;strongly pro-life.&#8221;<br \/>\nAnd Hewitt is going to do what he can to rehabilitate McCain for the November vote and has started early by having a very convincing McCain supporter, Bruce Herschensohn on for a number of segments on his radio show last night (MP3 file <a href=\"http:\/\/boss.streamos.com\/download\/Townhall\/audio\/mp3\/b413f832-6223-4cda-8ac2-336219ba5a1f.mp3?siteid=PodCast\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/boss.streamos.com\/download\/Townhall\/audio\/mp3\/42a347ed-e377-4d22-95f8-8b03e4ca2649.mp3?siteid=PodCast\">here<\/a>).<br \/>\nAs an anyone but McCain voter, I guess I should come to grips with the fact that doesn&#8217;t extend to Clinton because I couldn&#8217;t in good conscience vote the Clintons back into the White House.  So, I will be voting for McCain if it comes to that in November. I don&#8217;t agree with Coulter that McCain is worse on the war than Clinton would be.  She is reported to have an animosity towards the military so how could I support inflicting her on the military after they sacrifice so much to serve?<br \/>\nUpdate: I just published <a href=\"http:\/\/corner.nationalreview.com\/post\/?q=MzU1ZjIwMWVhNjhkZTBkMDI5OGNjYjc2MGNlM2Y2MjA=\">this<\/a> and then I read this and I&#8217;m thinking, &#8220;Way to reach out to the conservatives, dude.&#8221; If they make it impossible for me, I will vote for whatever 3rd party is the most conservative.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>That seems to be the big question.
