We were in line at the checkout counter, reading the covers of the magazines.
\n“Why did that woman kill her husband?” Samantha asked referring to Mary Winkler<\/a>.
\n“We don’t know, she won’t say. This article is all speculation because she won’t tell anyone why she did it.”
\n“Why don’t they force her to?”
\n“Samantha, she has the right to remain silent,” Sarah answered before I had a chance to say anything, which was a good thing because I don’t think I would have been smart enough to say that. Wow, that civics class she hates so much is really paying off!
\nShe has a right to remain silent but the media won’t let her keep it. They interview those who went to see her in jail and her attorney to try to get a tiny scrap of information as to why she would kill her husband.
\nWe are all curious, we want to know what would make a pastor’s wife kill her husband. The answer is, she is just like the rest of us who can snap and do something we would never think we would do in a million years. The killer is the one who decides to do that which is in our heart.<\/p>\n
