Will they ever fight for a cause<\/a>? Ever??? It’s not enough that Harry Reid is a jerk but now it turns out so is Sessions! Fight you bleeping jerks or find yourself in the minority for years to come:<\/p>\n

Senate Republicans warned the White House Wednesday that it’s not a good time for a fight with Democrats over a new attorney general and predicted there would be one of President Bush nominates former Solicitor General Ted Olson.
\n“It would be a dicey vote,” said Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., a member of the Judiciary Committee. “It would be unfortunate to nominate someone who can’t be confirmed.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Now, thankfully not all Senate Republicans are jerks:<\/p>\n

The bubbling controversy spilled onto the Senate floor Wednesday, when Republican Leader Mitch McConnell warned that any holdup of the yet- to-be-named nominee would make hypocrites of Democrats who urged Bush to swiftly name Gonzales’ successor. Nomination to confirmation of new attorneys general has taken on average three weeks since the Carter administration, McConnell said.
\nIf Democrats delay the nomination, McConnell warned, “they’ll show the American people that their concern for the department was insincere.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
