And of course we can do it without compromising anybody&#8217;s real privacy. This is about the security of our country and our people with an enemy that is prepared to attack us again and again here at home.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/instapundit.com\/archives2\/006787.php\">Instapundit<\/a> thinks it&#8217;s a bad idea (<a href=\"http:\/\/corner.nationalreview.com\/post\/?q=YzFjNGEyNmQ2NmQwNmExMTIxNzkxYWM5ZjU4MTQ1OTc=\">via<\/a>). But <a href=\"http:\/\/reformedchicksblabbing.blogspot.com\/2006\/10\/is-it-1984-in-chicago.html\">Chicago<\/a> is already on it&#8217;s way to London-style surveillance.<br \/>\nBTW, how does it not compromise privacy when you are spying on citizens and taking pictures of them throughout their day? Londoners are &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecctvcompany.co.uk\/cctvfacts.htm\">likely to be caught on camera 300 times  a day<\/a>&#8221;  (<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.wired.com\/defense\/2007\/06\/london-bomb-p-1.html\">via<\/a>). And does it stop the jihadist?  No, because usually they are prepared to die in their attack.
