\"\"<\/a>So, I was visiting Kevin Stilley’s blog<\/a> when I noticed his post<\/a> on participating in the Chunkster Challenge<\/a> sponsored by Bookfool (who is very nice and quick to add you to the list even if you are a little late to the challenge) at Bookfoolery and Babble<\/a> and decided that it sounded like fun. You read as many very large books (over 400 pages) that you can in a six month period.
\nHere is my list of books:
\nLabyrinth<\/a> by Kate Mosse
\nHow to Read a Book<\/a> by Mortimer J. Adler and Charles Van Doren
\nNew Testament History<\/a> by F. F. Bruce
\nBiblical Theology<\/a> by Geerhardus Vos (I’ve read sections of this book but never read it straight through and it’s a couple pages shy of 400 but I defy anyone to say it is not a chunkster! It certainly fits in the “<\/a>Whoa! That’s freakin’ intimidating!”<\/a> category)
\nThe Bible as it was<\/a> by James L. Kugel
\nThe Story of English<\/a> by Robert McCrum, Robert MacNeil and William Cran
\nThe Christ of the Prophets<\/a> by O. Palmer Robertson
\nAnd I might add Sophie’s World<\/a> by Jostein Gaarder to the list if I can find where I put it \ud83d\ude42
\nI think I might read them in this order, we’ll see \ud83d\ude42 I’ve been meaning to read them and this will be the incentive to do so.
