Good Morning!
\nAs I am preparing my heart to go to church I wanted to share this prayer with you. It cuts between the marrow and the bone. All I can say is Thank you Lord for loving me!<\/p>\n

The Prayer of Love<\/span><\/p>\n

Gracious Lord,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Thy name is love,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

in love receive my prayer.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

My sins are more than the wide sea’s sand,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

but where sin abounds, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

there is grace more abundant.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Look to the cross of thy beloved Son,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

and view the preciousness of his atoning blood;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Listen to his never-failing intercession,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

and whisper to my heart, \u2018Thy sins are forgiven,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

be of good cheer, lie down in peace.’<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Grace cataracts from heaven and flows for ever,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

and mercy never wearies in bestowing benefits.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Grant me more and more <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

to prize the privilege of prayer,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

to come to thee as a sin-soiled sinner,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

to find pardon in thee,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

to converse with thee;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

to know thee in prayer as<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the path in which my feet tread,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the latch upon the door of my lips,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the light that shines through my eyes,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the music of my ears,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the marrow of my understanding,<\/span><\/p>\n

the strength of my will,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the power of my affection,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the sweetness of my memory.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

May the matter of my prayer be always <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

wise, humble, submissive,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

obedient, scriptural, Christ-like.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Give me unwavering faith <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

that supplications are never in vain,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

that if I seem not to obtain my petitions<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I shall have larger, richer answers,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

surpassing all that I ask or think.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Unsought, thou hast given me <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the greatest gift, the person of thy Son,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

and in him thou wilt give me all I need.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
