Bush’s conduct of foreign policy has risen to 76 percent, the highest in five years, while only 18 percent support it.

But give the French credit for this one:

Most French and Americans would support military action against
Iran as a last resort if other means fail to stop it acquiring nuclear weapons, a major transatlantic opinion survey showed on Wednesday.
But among Germans polled, more said they would accept Iran getting the atom bomb rather than using force if diplomacy or sanctions do not work.
[…]
The poll, conducted in June, also showed a profound shift in Turkish public opinion away from the West and toward sympathy with Iran, partly reflecting a decline of support for Turkey’s bid to join the European Union among both Turks and Europeans.
[…]
However, when asked what should happen if non-military measures failed to stop Tehran acquiring atomic weapons, 53 percent of Americans and 43 percent of Europeans supported taking military action rather than accepting a nuclear Iran.
In France, the figure was 54 percent. In Germany, 40 percent supported military action but 46 percent said it would be better to let Iran acquire nuclear arms.

Maybe the French realize that they’re within striking distance of Iran. And I bet Germany’s answer would be different now that they’ve had a taste of terrorism in their own backyard. The bombs in those backpacks will be nuclear when Iran gets its nukes.
I hope that the Turks understand that Bin Laden and the Islamic fascist will put them under a Taliban type rule when they take over the whole Middle East. Turkey has many freedoms that they will have to give up once their Islamic overlords take control of the region.
And I’ve lost some respect for the Canadians since they don’t appear to understand that it’s not about what the US has done but who we are:

A majority of Canadians believe U.S. foreign policy was one of the root causes that led to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, and Quebecers are quicker to criticize the U.S. administration for its international actions than other Canadians, a recent poll suggests.
Those conclusions are found in a newly released poll conducted by Léger Marketing for the Association for Canadian Studies.
The poll suggests that 77 per cent of Quebecers polled primarily blame American foreign policy for the Sept. 11 attacks. The results suggest 57 per cent in Ontario hold a similar view.
When participants were given the option of choosing more than one cause for the attacks, two-thirds blamed Islamic fundamentalists and their anti-Western views, while a third pointed the finger at Israel and its position in the Middle East.
[…]
“There are a lot of people who think we should be listening closely [to extremist groups] and that there is an opportunity to dialogue with these sort of groups,” said Jedwab Wednesday. “So it is showing a real ideological divide on some of these issues.”

How do you dialogue with people who don’t think you should live if you don’t submit to Allah?
