The Church of Scientology is accused of trafficking<\/a>. This is not hearsay, it’s a federal investigation. According to a report in The New Yorker<\/em>, the Church of Scientology is under investigation for human trafficking and using free labor.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Huffinton Post:<\/a> After 34 years as a Scientologist, Hollywood screenwriter and director Paul Haggis opened up toThe New Yorker<\/em><\/a> in a super-sized feature, revealing secrets of the Church.<\/p>\n

The allegations splashed against Scientology in the article involve David Miscavige, the head of the Church and close friend of Tom Cruise. Allegedly, he ordered workers to do tiresome, dirty work<\/a> to customize a building, rebuild motorcycles, spend over a year fixing a boat and much more for Cruise and the Church.<\/p>\n

Their compensation? Fifty dollars a week.<\/p>\n

Of course, The Church of Scientology has been accused of various things in the past but this charge of Human Trafficking is particularly alarming. This is a large organization and if the head of this ‘church’ is involved in human rights abuses, the probability is high of it being widespread throughout the organization. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n
