Williams became a YouTube<\/a> sensation after an Ohio<\/a> reporter filmed him along a roadside waving a handwritten sign to advertise his vocal gifts in the hopes of scoring a job in radio or TV broadcast. Another report about Ted Williams leaving rehab<\/a> <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
<\/p>\n

Mike Barry<\/a>, the CEO of People Advocating Recovery, said that Williams’ fight against addiction wasn’t unusual. A former addict himself, he said the fame was sure to distract the YouTube sensation from concentrating on his recovery. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

“It’s very easy to get caught up in [the praise],” Barry said. “As human beings we all like to get some compliments and when you’ve been down and out for quite awhile the praise feels good.”<\/p>\n

Barry, like many recovering addicts, said it took more than one stint in rehab to help him kick the life-consuming habit — especially with all of the noise around him.<\/p>\n

“Recovery has to be first,” he advised.<\/p>\n

TMZ.com<\/a> reported that Williams’ girlfriend is still in the center. <\/p>\n

Alcohol and drugs are a long road of recovery. Praying for Ted and wishing him the best. He has a bright future ahead if he can clean up his life. <\/p>\n
