The words that Jesus spoke Himself are set apart from the rest of
\nScripture by red ink in many Bibles so they\u2019ll receive special
\nattention. Those red words reveal that Jesus placed great importance on
\nhelping people who needed it most \u2013 like the poor, the sick, the
\norphans, the prisoners, the disenfranchised, and the weary \u2013 and He
\nurged all those who follow Him to do the same.<\/p>\n

Jesus\u2019 words recorded in the Bible weren\u2019t just meant to be read;
\nthey were meant to be lived out. If you respond to Jesus\u2019 words, your
\nfaith will bleed into the lives of those you help and point them to the
\nhope they need.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how you can live out those red words in your Bible:<\/p>\n

Look for Jesus all around you.<\/strong> Ask God to help you
\nrecognize Jesus in disguise as you encounter people who need help.
\nRemember that they\u2019re not just statistics; they\u2019re real people who God
\nhas made in His image and who Jesus loves completely and
\nunconditionally. Pray for the compassion you need to reach out to them
\nin the ways God wants you to do so.<\/p>\n

Embrace your global citizenship.<\/strong> Stop thinking in
\nterms of \u201cus\u201d and \u201cthem\u201d when you think about the world\u2019s neediest
\npeople. Instead, realize that you\u2019re connected to every person on the
\nplanet. Ask God to help you see how much you actually have in common
\nwith others who live in faraway places.<\/p>\n
