ORGANIZATIONS ON GROUND IN HAITI SKEPTICAL OF ORPHAN RELOCATION FACILITIES<\/strong>
\n Boys Relocated to Questionable Facility Following Gruesome Situation at Son of God Orphanage<\/em><\/p>\n

Following the news of relocation for the children at Son of God Orphanage<\/a>, many relief organization members traveled to Haiti<\/a> in order to help the children adjust to the transition process. At the completion of the process, IBESR and UNICEF told relief workers that 39 children had been relocated.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we arrived at the girls\u2019 orphanage we found 31 of the girls who were previously at Son of God. We expected that there would be 8 boys at the other orphanage since we were told that 39 children were relocated. We found 9 boys at the other orphanage, and there are still 46 children that are unaccounted for. None of the government organizations involved seem to know where they are,\u201d<\/em> said an anonymous source on the ground in Haiti.<\/p>\n

Efforts continue from personnel within Adventures in Missions, Bridgeway Church, Timberline Church, Children\u2019s HopeChest, Respire Haiti, and Journey Community Church to locate the missing children, ensure the safety of the relocated children, and push for a full and thorough investigation of anyone involved in the situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow more than ever it is important that the momentum continues, and the Haitian government hears the truth, finds these missing children, and thoroughly investigates Son of God and possibly over 20 other orphanages abusing innocent children,\u201d<\/em> said Bob Mudd, COO of Children\u2019s HopeChest<\/p>\n

Members from the six organizations have run into complications gaining access to the orphanages, \u201cWe literally had to go from orphanage to orphanage to find the children because no one would tell us where they were. I don\u2019t know if the IBESR and UNICEF were being difficult for their own sake or for the sake of the safety of the children,\u201d said another anonymous source on the ground in Haiti.<\/p>\n

The organizations continue to call on the global community to sign the petition and distribute to as many people as possible, \u201cEvery day that passes lessens our chance of finding these children,\u201d<\/em> continued Mudd.<\/p>\n
