\"\"<\/a>There are few tools more powerful than a well-told story. And C.S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia<\/em>\u00a0are some of the best out there. Like Lewis, I have written fiction and nonfiction books, and I can tell you that moving between the two genres is difficult.<\/p>\n

Lewis’ genius and creativity is simply remarkable.<\/p>\n

God\u2019s all about stories. He\u2019s the most prolific author, and the greatest editor. He enjoys the process of beginnings and endings, and adding beauty and purpose to everything in between.<\/p>\n

We get that. We are inspired by epic victories, tragic turns, a hero bringing justice to a fallen world. It\u2019s in our DNA to want resolution\u2026to need triumph at the end of struggle, and to celebrate it anywhere it happens.<\/p>\n

What we often fail to realize is that we are primary characters in God’s story of rescue and redemption. <\/strong>We are blessed to be a blessing. We are called to Christ to call others to Him.<\/p>\n

What we do in this life drives<\/strong>\u00a0the story God is writing.<\/p>\n

But Russia\u2019s orphans have a story few would want to read. It\u2019s rarely victorious. It has few heroes. Trafficked. Enslaved. Addicted. Arrested. Suicidal. These words are spread like\u00a0scarlet letters on their chests as they wait for their hero.<\/p>\n

\"Priceless3D\"<\/p>\n

C.S. Lewis understood our innate need for redemption. In The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe<\/em>, Aslan rules Narnia with justice and mercy, and intense love. His very presence thaws the evilest of winters. Just as Jesus comes as the ultimate hero of humanity, Aslan comes to Narnia to bring it back to life.<\/p>\n

To set things right again.<\/p>\n

To break the curse.<\/p>\n

This month we are launching a campaign to get one life-changing story in the hands of every single Russian orphan we work with. <\/strong>Kids love stories more than any of us. The potential for impact is huge.<\/p>\n

We are the heroes, but only if we act like it.\u00a0<\/strong>Like Peter, knighted by Aslan to rule and protect Narnia–we too have a part to play in changing that horrible story for orphans.\u00a0We\u2019re all part of the epic here \u2013 and God has a part for you to play.<\/p>\n
